Job Description

Do you have a passion for contributing to the quality care of residents? Could your dedication and creativity be channeled through event planning and resident engagement in activities? If so, we have great news for you! We are looking for an Activities Assistant! An Activities Assistant would work directly with the full-time Activities Director. The ideal candidate for this job will appeal to residents from all backgrounds, providing an opportunity to celebrate individuality through expressive and creative activities. Responsibilities and Purpose Assist the Activities Director in designing and implementing a meaningful weekend activity schedule. Assess resident preferences for weekend activity opportunities, including opportunities for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Encourage intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and other activities available in the community. Complete assessments, monthly notes, activity charts, and other documentation as required/directed. Experience and Education Basic computer skills (such as Microsoft Office) Completion of Oklahoma certified activities training program 1+ year of activities experience in a healthcare setting 1+ year of work in skilled nursing, long term care, hospice, or LTAC Earn Better With Us | Realize the Value of 100% Employee Ownership We are 100% employee-owned by members of the community we serve through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
