Job Description

Full-time| 12:30pm - 9:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays | PG5| Weekly earned wage access is an option. Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Fitness Counselor 2 builds relationships and provides support to members in fulfilling their fitness goals. You will e nsure compliance with procedures and safe functioning of the Wellness Center. You report to the Fitness Center Manager.
Primary Tasks:
You will greet members, provide guidance, and answer questions. Set up new members by entering data in the system, obtaining the required consent forms, activating access-card. Assist members with proper operation of exercise equipment. Score risk-factor inventories as a means of evaluating health risks associated with exercise. You will perform fitness evaluations to develop personalized exercise programs based on members goals, health status, fitness level and age. Complete general janitorial tasks, including towel service. Help develop exercise and group fitness programs. Verify inventory and complete end of shift countdown procedures. Perform routine scheduled maintenance on all equipment. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
Course work in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, or similar course of study CPR/AED Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or related One [1] year applicable experience
