Newberg, OR Pay:
$25.75 - $28.00/hr. Full Time with Great Benefits! Help Older Adults Thrive Through Movement, Wellness, and Connection Friendsview Life Plan Community is seeking an energetic and compassionate Fitness & Wellness Coordinator to lead our resident fitness and wellness programs. This role is ideal for a fitness professional who enjoys teaching, coaching, building relationships, and creating meaningful programs that help older adults maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life. What You'll Do Develop and lead engaging fitness classes and wellness programs for residents of varying abilities. Conduct fitness assessments and create individualized exercise plans. Provide orientation and training on fitness equipment and safe exercise practices. Supervise contracted fitness instructors, volunteers, and interns. Oversee fitness center operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. Collaborate with recreation, nursing, therapy, and resident committees to create inclusive wellness opportunities. Promote wellness education, special events, and healthy aging initiatives throughout the community. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Certification through ACSM, ACE, NASM, AFAA, or equivalent. Current CPR and First Aid certification . Experience leading fitness programs and working with older adults. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health & Human Performance, or a related field. Experience with group fitness instruction, wellness coaching, and program development. Experience supervising staff, contractors, volunteers, or interns. Why Friendsview?
