Job Description

Recognized by GOLF Magazine and Golf.com as one of the finest courses in America, Woodloch Springs is part of the trilogy of Woodloch properties, which also features an award-winning family resort (Woodloch Pines) and a luxury destination spa (The Lodge at Woodloch).Spread across the course's 438 acres are the 400 guest homes and unparalleled views of the scenic countryside and manicured green. The course also offers a driving range and teaching and practice facility. The semi-private course is open to members and guests of Woodloch, and limited outside tee-times are available. The Clubhouse at Woodloch Springs is home to a pro shop, complete with a 9-18 hole course simulator and virtual driving range, as well as two upscale restaurants, The Grille Room and The Overlook, which feature sprawling views of the scenic course. Position Summary The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Woodloch Springs Sports Complex recreation department. This role ensures smooth operations while supporting a high-quality recreational experience for members and guests. The position manages scheduling, staffing, payroll, timekeeping coordination, and front desk workflow, while collaborating with other departments to support fitness and recreational programming. Key Responsibilities Operations & Administration Oversee daily recreation department operations within the Woodloch Sports Complex.

Manage scheduling systems for group fitness classes, recreational programming, and facility usage.

Coordinate employee timekeeping, shift coverage, and payroll submission processes.

Ensure smooth front desk operations and guest check-in procedures.

Maintain accurate records for staffing, attendance, and program participation. Staff Coordination Serve as primary point of contact for scheduling and staffing logistics.

Support onboarding and training coordination for front-line recreation staff.

Communicate scheduling updates and operational changes to staff.

Ensure adequate staffing coverage across all recreational areas. Program Support Collaborate with fitness and recreation staff to support program delivery.

Assist in maintaining consistent and high-quality member experience across all services.

Support implementation of recreational initiatives and seasonal programming. Facility & Member Experience Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment within the recreation spaces.

Address operational needs and escalate issues as appropriate.

Support member engagement and service excellence standards. Qualifications Experience in recreation, fitness operations, hospitality, or facility management preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage scheduling systems and administrative processes.

Detail-oriented with excellent time management.

Proficiency with basic payroll/timekeeping systems a plus. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
