Description Description Looking for a fun weekend job in sports and events? Join the Lewisburg YMCA team and help run tournaments, facility rentals, and community events! Responsibilities Manage events and facility rentals on weekends that have been coordinated by the Sports & Recreation team.
Work the back desk for gate fees as needed.
Ensure that all members, guests, and staff follow the YMCA's Code of Conduct.
Respond to all emergency situations as per the YMCA's safety and risk protocol. Follow the "Crisis Management" plan if necessary.
Assist Sports and Recreation Director and/or renter with tasks such as equipment set up, collecting gate fees, and maintaining a safe facility during multi-day/seasonal sports and recreation events or rentals.
Assist with all events and tournaments to ensure smooth run-of-show and execution.
During non-event weekends, act as a building manager.
Positively representing the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA and the core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
Have a complete, up to date, child care file.
All other duties as assigned by the Sports and Recreation Director or Branch Executive Director. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
A previous knowledge in developing various sports and/or recreation events/programs required.
Certified in CPR/AED or ability to obtain.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members and interact with members and event participants/parents.
Must be responsible, compassionate, professional and empathetic to all staff and participants.
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance and a FBI Criminal History Check required.
Must be available to work weekends and evenings. Job Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience
