Activities Assistant Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehab | Millersburg, PA Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Millersburg, PA. This role supports the Director of Activities in providing engaging programs that meet the emotional, social, and recreational needs of our residents. Shifts Available Part-Time Responsibilities Ensure residents' emotional, recreational, and social needs are met on an individual basis Assist residents with activities of daily living such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress Assist with mail delivery and escort residents to scheduled activity programs Support flower and plant care, pet/fish care, and preparation of the monthly newsletter Assist with fundraising efforts and make morning announcements over the PA system Conduct or assist with individual and group activities that promote entertainment, exercise, relaxation, creativity, and social interaction Provide and supervise use of craft supplies, materials, and equipment Encourage resident participation in crafts, painting, games, and other creative activities Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred Must be 18 years of age or older Benefits We strive to provide our employees with a comprehensive and affordable benefits package, which may include: Medical and Prescription Drug, Dental, and Vision Coverage Telemedicine Program Company-Paid Group Life Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter Benefits Planned Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick leave)
