Job Title:
Activities Assistant Summary:
As an Activities Assistant you'll play a key role in making each day special for our residents and patients. You'll organize and lead creative, enjoyable activities that encourage social interaction, physical movement, and mental engagement. You'll be part of a community that genuinely cares about creating uplifting and meaningful experiences.
What You'll Do:
Plan and lead a variety of activities—think games, art sessions, music, light exercise, social events, and more—that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Adjust activities to meet the unique needs of each resident, making sure everyone feels comfortable, involved, and valued. Encourage residents to join in and connect with others, creating a positive, engaging atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Provide one-on-one support for residents needing extra assistance and help foster friendships and a sense of community. Create a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all activities, following health and safety standards. Assist with transporting residents to and from activities as needed, always ensuring a gentle, comfortable approach.
What You'll Bring:
Experience and Knowledge Background in recreation, activities coordination, or experience in healthcare or rehab settings is a plus but not required—we're happy to provide training! Teamwork and Creativity An open, flexible approach to collaboration with the team and an eye for bringing creativity to every activity.
