Job Description

The Blue Ridge Respite (BRR), a program of Here to Stay Wintergreen, is a social, non-medical group respite program for those with mild to moderate dementia and/or Parkinson's Disease. It encompasses two locations in Nelson County. The BRR is recruiting for a Program Activities Coordinator. The following information provides an overview of the position, role expectations, and qualifications.
Overview & Role Expectations:
Leading activities as needed for those with dementia or Parkinson's Assisting with setting the monthly calendar for daily session programming, including attending planning meetings Communicating with special guests (musicians, movement, speakers, artists) in setting programming schedules, including email confirmation, set up needs, and follow-up thank you notes Participating in outreach activities for membership and volunteer recruitment Assisting with training and support of volunteers Assisting with data collection for evaluation purposes as needed Updating membership attendance and tracking volunteer hours Leading coordination of transportation for members as needed and maintaining driver records for reimbursement
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable about Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease Experience with Excel, Word, Power Point, and AI programs Energetic, positive and flexible—comfortable with last minute changes requiring spontaneity and creativity The position is 20 hours a week, including on site and remote Salary, based on experience, of up to $25 an hour Please send resume to or PO Box 138 Nellysford, VA 22958 More information about the program can be found at
