Position :
Part-Time Parks and Recreation Coordinator Position Summary:
The Town of Gardiner is seeking a motivated Part-Time Parks and Recreation Coordinator to help plan, promote, and oversee community programs, events, and park use with the Parks and Recreation Committee. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, and community-minded, with strong communication and computer skills. Key Responsibilities
    Programs & Events:
    Plan, coordinate, and promote recreational programs, seasonal activities, and community events.
      Community Outreach:
      Create marketing materials, manage social media, and keep town website and calendars updated to boost participation.
        Administration:
        Manage registrations, schedules, and reports; assist with budgeting and record-keeping.
          Facilities:
          Schedule and monitor use of parks and fields, report maintenance needs, and support staff or volunteer coordination. Qualifications
          • Experience in recreation, event planning, or community programming.
          • Strong computer and communication skills, including social media and basic digital design.
          • Excellent organization, time management, and independence.
          • Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends. Preferred
          • Experience in municipal or small-town settings.
          • Familiarity with website updates, online registration, and volunteer coordination.
          • Knowledge of local community and recreational trends.
          Compensation :
          Part-time, up to 10-15 hours per week (flexible), with annual compensation up to $12,000, commensurate with experience and budget. How to
