Job Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the execution of athletic programs for youth and adults and a variety of seasonal programs. The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary. Manages the overall execution of youth and adult athletic programs including planning, implementation, and supervision of leagues. Ensures high-quality communication and customer service is provided to all volunteer coaches and participants. Communicates information to coworkers to support a unified "team" operation of the department. Executes scheduling and usage of County resources (fields, parks, and centers) for programs and public rentals. Provides support to the administrative team during peak times by giving tours, answering questions, and covering the reception desk as needed. Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or any field other than engineering or the hard sciences. Over two years and up to and including four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
CPR, First Aid and AED Certification. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
