Summer Camp Coach and Counselor

Responsibilities Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, STEM activities, arts and crafts and more to ensure engaging experiences for all campers Supervise children during daily routines such as meals, rest periods, and transitions between activities to promote safety and well-being Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful environment for campers of diverse backgrounds Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored activities and compassionate guidance Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan age-appropriate programming that aligns with camp goals and values Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns as needed Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles to foster a supportive learning atmosphere Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain these upon hire is acceptable Strong skills in behavior management, early childhood education, or special education will enhance your effectiveness in this role Ability to actively engage children through sports coaching, theatrical activities, or other creative outlets Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment A positive attitude dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and fun summer experience for all campers Embark on an exciting journey this summer—empower children through play, learning, and mentorship while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare!
