Rehab & Sports Medicine Supervisor Orthopedic Institute - 3.2 Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Staff supervision Working with athletes Team supervision Coaching Clinic experience Team development Team training Managing physical health therapy teams Patient care General management Staff development Team building Full Job Description The Rehab & Sports Medicine Supervisor provides frontline leadership for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine services, with direct responsibility for athletic training and for physical therapy operations in partnership with the PT Lead. The role also provides operational coordination with orthotics and pedorthist services, while direct supervision of those roles remains with the Vice President. The position focuses on team performance, patient access and experience, relationships with partner schools and sports organizations, and ensuring that operational practices support both excellent clinical care and compliance with payer and organizational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team leadership and daily operations: Supervise assigned staff, including day-to-day support, workload oversight, coaching and participation in hiring and performance management. Patient access & throughput : In partnership with PT leadership and the registration/scheduling department, monitor and improve patient access to PT services, including schedule utilization, template practices and cancellation/no-show patterns.
Athletic training programs:
Oversee delivery of athletic training services in both outreach and clinic settings, ensuring staff fulfill contractual obligations, documentation standards, and safety requirements. School & community relationship development: Support the VP in maintaining and growing OI's relationships with partner schools, colleges and sports organizations.
Compliance and payer requirements:
Ensure that administrative practices within the supervised areas are consistent with contracted payer policies and internal compliance standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical background in rehabilitation or sports medicint (e.g. athletic training, PT/OT or related field) Demonstrated leadership experience ( formal or informal ) in a healthcare or sports medicine setting. Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to manage and develop staff; strong delegation, coaching and team building capabilities. #hc250827
