We are currently seeking a Activities Coordinator to: Administer, direct, and coordinate community wellness and programming for our Elders that addresses physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Enrich the lives of our Elders by promoting the Eden Alternative 7 Domains of Well Being. Ensure all services are performed within a resident-centered model and in collaboration with the community's life enrichment team. Be responsible for planning and publishing a monthly activity calendar, adherence to budget, and documentation in accordance with State requirements. Scheduling the roles of volunteers in planned activities. Develops and maintains productive and effective relationships with area organizations (Colleges, City Parks and Recreation, area sports clubs, Arts Alliance) to provide related services to the residents, staff and members of the wellness program. The Activities Coordinator will report to the Lifestyle Director and will work with the Life Enrichment team to provide meaningful experiences to all of Crestview Elders. Eligible participants receive match of 100% on first 3% and 50% on next 2%. Experience in wellness and activity programs for senior adults in a long term care setting is preferred but not required.
Certification:
Activity Professionals National Credentialing Center (APNCC) or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Helpful other skills:
Considerable knowledge of computer use, including e-mail, MS Office and ability to learn relevant facility software. Knowledge of the processes of aging, and of personal and social problems confronting elders and society in general. Should have demonstrated direct concern for elders and an ability to work with them. Understands wellness is multi-faceted and encompasses social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions.
