The Weekend Activities Assistant implements Activity programs for the Community that embrace and fulfill the social needs and interests of the senior population living and visiting the Community. - Responsible for the hosting daily memory care and assisted living activities from calendar. Also providing support to the Director of Resident Engagement on the AL side with hosting and setting up for activities as scheduled.
- Educates, trains and encourages team members on activity opportunities to make meaningful connections.
- Meets and greets each person upon move-in into memory care to welcome them and their family and friends to the Community.
- Assists when needed to help decorating the common areas for special events and holidays.
- Conducts individual and group interactions, both in Memory Care & Assisted Living
- Takes attendance and photographs for every activity
- Any other duties assigned by the Director of Resident Engagement
- Ensure that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights.

- High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
- Activities certification or previous experience in activities in a long-term care setting highly preferred.
- Works well with all levels of employees and displays a collaborative and positive work style.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Takes direction effectively and works well independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Reliable transportation, dependable attendance, and work ethic.
- If required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must successfully complete the requirements contained in Company's Motor Vehicles policy.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have a clear driving record.
