Job Description

Youth Speed & Agility Coach PlayForge Athletics League City, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $15
  • $75 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid training On-the-job training Professional development assistance Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Qualifications Youth recreational activities facilitation Youth fitness Program development Sports and outdoor activities Sports team experience Sports coaching class instruction Experience working with middle schoolers Facebook Sports activities for children Experience working with elementary school students Training Group fitness classes Marketing Teaching Working with youth Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description I run PlayForge Athletics, a growing youth sports performance brand in the League City and Alvin area.
We coach kids ages 6 to 13 in speed, agility, and athletic development, and I'm looking for someone to grow with us. This isn't your typical coaching gig. You'd start as an assistant, learn how we run things, and build toward leading your own program under the PlayForge brand , with me helping you every step of the way. If you've ever thought about coaching as more than a side job and actually want to build something, this is that. What you'd be doing to start:
  • Assisting with our speed and agility classes and learning our system
  • Growing and leading a speed and agility program in Alvin, 1x a week to start (this part is required) It starts small, just a couple hours a week, and grows as you do. What I'm looking for:
  • A real athletic background , either playing or coaching. No formal coaching experience required, but you have to know sport.
  • HIGH energy . This one is non-negotiable. The kids feed off it.
  • Someone who genuinely likes working with kids ages 6 to 13
  • Local to the League City / Alvin area
  • Willingness to learn how to market and build your own clientele through Facebook and other channels.
I'll teach you, but you have to be comfortable putting yourself out there.
How pay works:
You start at $15/hour for training and assistant work. Once you're ready to lead your own class, you move to a revenue share . When you're proficient with private lessons and bringing in your own athletes, you move up to the higher percentage . The more you build, the more you make. It's almost an entrepreneurial position . You're building your own thing with my brand and support behind you.
A little about us:
we've got our hands in a lot. City rec programs, soccer practice speed and agility, tennis, and a partnership with a leading local youth sports organization with over 2,000 kids. There's real room to grow here. If that sounds like you, apply and let's talk.
One more thing:
if you coach/play tennis, message me. I've got a separate tennis coaching position I'm looking to fill too.
Pay:
