Job Summary Join our vibrant KidStrong summer team as a Seasonal Camp Counselor, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a fun, safe, and
HIGH ENERGY
environment for children and youth. In this role, you will lead engaging activities, foster positive behavior, and support the overall development of campers. Your energy and compassion will inspire young minds while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the camp session. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact during the summer months, helping children grow through play, learning, and community connection. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities, including sports, and arts and crafts. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring camper behavior and implementing effective behavior management strategies Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns Support children with special education needs or behavioral challenges by applying inclusive coaching techniques Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and team members to promote a welcoming camp atmosphere Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring, or summer camp preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse groups of children Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic indoor camp environment Passion for working with youth through childcare, sports coaching, theater arts, or babysitting roles This is an energetic role perfect for those eager to inspire young learners while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, or youth development.
