What You Will Be Doing:
We are hiring two (2) Recreation Specialists to assist with both Summer Camps that are offered. Summer Camps run for 9 weeks from June 1st through July 31st, and individuals must be able to commit to working at least 8 of the 9 weeks. The Recreation Specialist is responsible for planning, supervising, and delivering adaptive and youth recreation programs. Recreation Specialist organizes and leads activities, coordinates and supervises field trips, and provides direction and support to program staff. Responsibilities include maintaining program equipment and supplies, delivering exceptional customer service to parents and participants, and ensuring compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and departmental procedures. Camp Mania is Southlake's premier camp experience for kids ages 5-12! Our campers enjoy a perfect mix of structured games, creative arts and crafts, free play, exciting in-house entertainment, and unforgettable field trips. All activities are designed to spark fun, build friendships, and create lasting memories—while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment where kids always come first. Staff are responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can achieve, stay active, and play while building confidence and friendships. Click here for more about Camp Mania! Cross Timbers Nature Camp is dedicated to connecting campers to the natural world around us and inspiring young explorers and stewards. With over 750 acres, Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve is the perfect place to explore our Cross Timbers Ecosystem. Each week we focus on a new theme through structured nature activities, crafts, hikes, STEAM challenges, and more! We spend about 50% of our day outside. What You Bring To Us:
A High School Diploma. Up to two (2) years of relevant supervisory, fitness, child care, and people management experience. Supervisory experience is highly preferred. Ability to remain flexible with your schedule. Applications will be accepted until May 7, 2026.
