As an Activities Assistant, you'll help create meaningful experiences that bring joy, connection, and purpose to our residents. Working alongside our Director of Activities, you'll play an important role in planning engaging programs that promote socialization, wellness, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and leading daily, evening, and weekend activities. Help organize games, crafts, fitness, music, entertainment, and special events Coordinate spiritual, educational, and intergenerational programs. Support community outings, volunteer visits, and special celebrations. Encourage resident participation by building positive relationships and creating an inclusive atmosphere. Help maintain the monthly activity calendar and prepare materials for events. Celebrate birthdays, holidays, and life's special moments with our residents.
Qualifications:
A caring, energetic, and enthusiastic personality. A passion for enriching the lives of older adults. Experience working with seniors or in therapeutic recreation is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive attitude, patience, creativity, and a team-first mindset. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently when needed. Shift Part time including Mandatory Weekends Why Join Spring Oak?
