Full Job Description Job Classification:
Activities Coordinator Purpose Development and coordination of an activities program designed to promote the residents' active involvement with each other, their families, and the community. Requirements This job requires completion of the "The Activities Coordinator Program" within eighteen (18) months of employment, or direct supervision and oversight person with this certification. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Description 1. Obtain required certification or provide proof of oversight by certified individual. 2. Demonstrate involvement with all residents, staff, residents' families, volunteers, and community resources. 3. Maintain an updated resident's interest list, as well as individualized preferences and abilities for each resident. 4. Complete activities assessments on all new admissions. 5. Plan weekly activities, taking into consideration the unique needs and interests of all residents within the facility. 6. Prepare a monthly calendar for planned activities and keep it posted in an easily accessible area, in large print. 7. Assist with transportation needs 8. Able to work weekends as needed per the activity calendar, special events, and manager on duty schedule.Similar remote jobs
