Camp Counselor

Job Overview BIAV Camp Bruce McCoy, named in memory of a former camper, is a nationally-recognized, 43-year-old residential summer camp and respite program for adult survivors of brain injury (18+) and their family members/caregivers. Camp Bruce McCoy is seeking dedicated and compassionate counselors for our upcoming 2026 camp session. This is a unique opportunity for students and early-career professionals interested in neurorehabilitation, healthcare, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, or related fields to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a supportive camp environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct hands-on support and supervision to campers with varying physical/cognitive needs Assist with daily activities, self-care, mobility, safety, and adapted recreation participation Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and camp leadership Activities at Camp Bruce McCoy Archery/Riflery Fishing Canoeing Horseback riding Yard games Arts and Crafts Water Olympics and so much more! Current Hiring Need:

We are in significant need for male counselors at this time to best meet camper needs. Males are 2-3x more likely to sustain a brain injury than females and Camp Bruce McCoy has a higher number of male campers.
