Job Summary:
Assisting the Spa & Fitness Manager in all areas of the fitness center and recreation activities. Provide the most exceptional and memorable fitness experience for our guests, anticipating all guest needs, providing the highest quality products, and exceptional service that will have the guests coming to Mount Snow not just for the snow, but for the Health Club.Job Specifications:

No Job Responsibilities:
Audit Monthly Inventory. Process daily time management and bi-weekly payroll, commissions, and service charges in spreadsheets and Time & Labor. Program and update PLU products in SpaSoft POS and Reservation System. Update and analyze reports as needed by Spa & Fitness Manager to optimize budget goals. Maintain accounting journals for wages, open checks. Maintain and collaborate with Spa Assistant Manager on marketing programs for social media, collateral assets, and signage. Update training manuals for fitness center attendants. Prepare purchase orders in Coupa and place retail and supply orders with vendors. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of hiring candidates, as well as off boarding seasonal staff Manage and review staff compliance, goals setting, performance reviews, and exit interviews. Participate in Best Practice Group, Department Head meetings, and other resort teams to further business objectives. Assist in developing seasonal marketing plans. Comply with Vermont State regulations for pool testing. Supervise staff and operations in collaboration with the Spa & Fitness Manager. Assist with scheduling fitness instructors according to occupancy demands including maintenance of PTO requests and records. Monitor fitness center job checklist assuring that all items are done in a timely manner. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, service, and safety standards to include GX Medallia scores, safety logs/reports. Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in dealing with guests, co-workers, and subordinates. Comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation. Performance of all special projects as requested by spa manager or resort management. Engage in Vail leadership training and inter-department management philosophies. Certified pool operator- required College degree in Hospitality, Administration, or comparable skills and knowledge
- required Ability to communicate effectively with guests on both an individual and group basis
- required Must be able to maintain flexibility in schedule to meet guest occupancy and staffing demands to include evening shifts, weekends and holidays.
- required Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- preferred Proficiencies in Microsoft systems: Word, Publisher, Excel, One Drive, Outlook, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud, SpaSoft or other related reservations/POS systems
