This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Engagement & Services, the LWY Resident Camp Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting summer resident camp programs at Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp and assisting with Outdoor Recreation Programs throughout the year. During the summer season, the coordinator serves as the primary on-site program leader for camp operations, ensuring safe, engaging, and high-quality experiences for campers and staff. Responsibilities include program implementation, leading and managing camp staff, participant engagement, risk management, activity leadership, and administrative coordination. Throughout the remainder of the year, the coordinator supports the YMCA's Outdoor Recreation Department through program planning, program delivery, community engagement, participant recruitment, and special events. This position works collaboratively with YMCA staff to strengthen outdoor recreation opportunities and expand access to nature-based experiences for youth, families, schools, and community groups.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in recreation, outdoor education, education, youth development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Four or more years of experience in resident camp, outdoor recreation, youth development, education, or related programming.
• Experience working with children, teens, and families in group or outdoor settings.
• Demonstrated ability to lead groups, lead and manage staff, manage multiple priorities, and foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
