The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with seniors, demonstrating creativity, patience, and strong organizational skills. As an Activity Specialist, you will design, implement, and supervise a variety of recreational, educational, physical and social activities that promote lifetime learning, enrichment and fun in a safe environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on seniors' lives through dynamic programming aligned with cognitive needs. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate diverse activities including arts and crafts, active games, and educational games tailored to different groups and abilities. Manage community space effectively, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants. Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and positive social skills among residents. Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with staff, residents and families to integrate activities that support individual needs and interests. Maintain organized activity materials and supplies while adhering to safety standards and sanitation guidelines. Foster a supportive atmosphere that enriches our residents' lives .
Skills:
Strong organizational and management abilities with experience working with seniors. Experience in healthcare or working with seniors with diverse needs is highly desirable. Proficiency in activities related to arts, music and recreation. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents, families, and team members. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
