- Student Worker will work closely with the Coordinator of Student Activities and Organizations to execute the vision of the Office of Residential and Student Life ( ORSL ) at Fairmont State University.
- Assist with the planning and execution of campus activities and events including set up and tear down, as well as being in attendance.
- Help to plan and execute Leadership Series that takes place 5 times a semester
- Help to execute Registered Student Organization ( RSO ) meetings that take place once a month
- Work with Central Scheduling to book various campus events and activities including contacting organizations, making reservations and ensuring that all programs are on the shared calendar.
- Work in tandem with the ORSL marketing team for event advertisement; responsible for completing flyer; bulletin board management; removal of past due event flyers or materials that do not pertain to Fairmont State University.
- Help manage the student activities email inbox
- Keep detailed records of all web submissions for Registered Student Organizations ( RSO ) such as leadership changes, member rosters, etc.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
- Student must be in good academic and disciplinary standing
- Prior experience with event planning/event management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
