  • Student Worker will work closely with the Coordinator of Student Activities and Organizations to execute the vision of the Office of Residential and Student Life ( ORSL ) at Fairmont State University.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of campus activities and events including set up and tear down, as well as being in attendance.
  • Help to plan and execute Leadership Series that takes place 5 times a semester
  • Help to execute Registered Student Organization ( RSO ) meetings that take place once a month
  • Work with Central Scheduling to book various campus events and activities including contacting organizations, making reservations and ensuring that all programs are on the shared calendar.
  • Work in tandem with the ORSL marketing team for event advertisement; responsible for completing flyer; bulletin board management; removal of past due event flyers or materials that do not pertain to Fairmont State University.
  • Help manage the student activities email inbox
  • Keep detailed records of all web submissions for Registered Student Organizations ( RSO ) such as leadership changes, member rosters, etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • Student must be in good academic and disciplinary standing
  • Prior experience with event planning/event management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
