Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Hostess/Host to join our dynamic Covey team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations and reservations effectively. Tipped out position Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using the Tock software system. Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times to guests. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu options, specials, and reservations. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers, bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance their dining experience. Provide support in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment. Requirements Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations. Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanor with a passion for hospitality and helping others.
