Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Manager in Training - Food Services to develop into a future leader within our food retail and service operations. This entry-level management program is designed to provide comprehensive training in store management, customer service, inventory control, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail food services while preparing for a managerial role. Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service. Support inventory management activities, including stock replenishment, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize product availability. Participate in employee orientation, training new team members on company policies, customer service protocols, and POS (Point of Sale) systems. Contribute to merchandising efforts by organizing product displays, pricing items accurately, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Help oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and store closing processes to ensure accuracy and security. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and promote store offerings effectively. Collaborate with management on sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales performance. Experience Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within a retail or food service environment is preferred but not required; relevant internship experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management principles. Demonstrated skills in employee recruitment, interviewing, training & development, and team supervision. Familiarity with inventory control systems, purchasing procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling practices. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging diverse customer bases effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills essential for staff coordination, customer interactions, and administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent pathway for individuals eager to grow into management positions within the food services industry by developing leadership capabilities and operational expertise.
Pay:
$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
