In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and team engagement. Your leadership will drive the success of the restaurant by fostering a positive environment, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and optimizing profitability. The position of General Manager is a salary + performance pay structure. Compensation Based Responsibilities Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery across all shifts while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team. Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to maximize profitability. Utilize Toast POS system for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting. Implement food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and industry best practices; supervise food preparation and handling procedures. Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis; develop strategies to meet revenue targets and control costs. Supervise shift management activities including scheduling, customer service standards, and resolving operational issues promptly. Conduct staff training sessions on customer service excellence, food safety, POS operation, and team leadership skills. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, hospitality excellence, and positive guest interactions. Experience Proven management experience in full service restaurants with a strong background in food service management. Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service in casual dining or fine dining environments. Experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, staff training & development, and implementing food safety protocols. Familiarity with catering services is advantageous. Strong managerial communication skills combined with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Previous experience managing hospitality teams with a focus on team training, shift management, and culinary operations is highly desirable.
