  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our vibrant restaurant operation in historic downtown Wetumpka, AL.
This role is the heartbeat of our establishment, responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for the food and beverage industry, a strong management background, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment that is run efficiently. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will oversee everything from food quality and safety to staff training and financial management, ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of restaurant management, including staff supervision, customer service, food quality, and safety standards. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations. Manage POS systems for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, catering services, bar management, and banquet functions when applicable. Train and develop staff members in food handling, customer service excellence, shift management, and safety protocols. Monitor financial performance by budgeting, analyzing sales data, controlling costs, and implementing strategies for profitability. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety across all areas of the restaurant. Conduct interviews and hiring processes to build a skilled team aligned with our service standards. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Skills Extensive experience in restaurant management within the casual dining environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management. Proficiency with POS systems; experience with cash handling procedures. Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety compliance (including HACCP), and food industry best practices. Proven leadership skills in supervising teams; experience in staff training & development is essential. Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality excellence. Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards in food production and service delivery. Experience in managing shifts efficiently across multiple departments, including kitchen, bar, catering, and front-of-house operations. Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates and coordinating with team members at all levels. Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; culinary experience is advantageous.
