Reports to: Child Nutrition Director, Principal
Wage/Hour Status:
Non-Exempt
Length of Contract:
190 Days
Hours:
6:30 AM
•2:00 PM (7 HRS/DAY)
Salary:
$14.37/hr
•$18.87/hr
Primary Purpose:
Provides direction to kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties.
Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with Arkansas health department regulations and food safety regulations.
Ensures utilization of daily prep sheets
Participates in the monthly inventory process.
Anticipates, identifies, and corrects any issues with inventory, systems, and staffing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Certification:
High School Diploma (Required)
Manager's Certification (Preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Customer service
People management, fostering teamwork, and giving feedback
Planning and multi-tasking
Self-motivated with a high energy level
Conflict resolution
Verbal communication
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Lift and carry for short distances up to 50 lbs in a kitchen setting
Reach and lower items in a kitchen setting
Stoop, kneel, bend
Must be able to safely, physically operate the kitchen equipment.
