ABOUT THE STORE
Playa Bowls is opening its first Northwest Arkansas shop at the Summit at Pinnacle Springs in Rogers, next to Whole Foods. The store is owned and operated by Acumen Franchise Group, LLC, a Playa Bowls franchisee. This is the first one, and the General Manager runs it. Playa Bowls is New Jersey's original acai shop, founded in 2014 and now more than 400 locations. Acai, pitaya, coconut, and oatmeal bowls, smoothies, and fresh juices, built to order in the store.
COMPENSATION
$50,000 base salary plus a quarterly performance bonus, $10,000 per year at target, paid on store sales, prime cost, and brand standards. Ten days of paid time off in year one, fifteen from year three, plus paid holidays when the store is closed.
START DATE
September 28, 2026. Before opening, the General Manager completes two weeks (9/28/26 to 10/8/26) of Playa Bowls on-site training in NJ at a certified training shop, then hires and trains the Rogers crew.
THE ROLE
The General Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and results of the Rogers store and reports to the owner. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The General Manager leads the Assistant Manager, Shift Leaders, and Team Members. You run the store as your own business. The sales plan and cost targets are given to you in writing before each quarter.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Pre-opening, September to October Complete Playa Bowls on-site manager training Hire and train the opening crew Set up vendors, delivery schedules, and receiving Run the friends-and-family and soft opening Leadership and team Hire, train, coach, and hold accountable the Assistant Manager, Shift Leaders, and Team Members Write the weekly schedule to the labor budget Lead from the floor and work the line during peaks Operations and guests Food quality, portioning, presentation, and cleanliness to Playa standards on every shift Health inspection and Playa brand audit readiness at all times Resolve guest complaints and answer every Google review Opening and closing procedures and the records that go with them Financial Own the store
P&L:
sales, food cost, labor, and controllables Inventory, ordering, and waste tracking; receive and check every delivery Cash handling, deposits, and change runs Weekly reporting to the owner Community Local marketing, catering, and off-site events with the owner and Playa's marketing team
WHAT YOU BRING
Two or more years as a restaurant General Manager, or three as an Assistant Manager in fast casual or quick service Experience opening a store or building a team from zero is a plus ServSafe Manager certification, or the ability to earn it before opening Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable with a POS, scheduling software, and reading a
P&L SCHEDULE
Full-time, salaried. 45 to 50 hours per week including weekends and holidays, with opening and closing shifts as the store needs. On-site in Rogers, AR.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
