Restaurant Manager (Hourly) Fat Olives | Flagstaff, AZ $27.00-$30.00 per hour (DOE) | Full-Time | Paid Vacation | Bonus Program | Growth Opportunities Lead One of Flagstaff's Favorite Restaurants Fat Olives isn't your typical restaurant—and we're not looking for a typical manager. For more than 13 years, Fat Olives has been serving authentic Neapolitan pizza with a commitment to genuine hospitality, exceptional food, and a culture that puts people first. As a locally owned restaurant featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and consistently recognized as one of Flagstaff's favorite restaurants, we take pride in doing things the right way. We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager who leads from the floor, inspires their team, and creates memorable experiences for every guest. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll spend your time coaching employees, supporting both the dining room and kitchen, maintaining high operational standards, and helping the restaurant succeed every day. Responsibilities include:
Lead daily front and back of house operations Coach, develop, and motivate team members throughout every shift Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and accountability Ensure outstanding guest service and professionally resolve guest concerns Supervise opening, closing, side work, and daily operational procedures Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees Support scheduling and daily labor management Assist with ordering food, beverages, liquor, and restaurant supplies Monitor food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution Maintain food safety and sanitation standards while ensuring health department readiness Complete cash handling, deposits, and end-of-day procedures Assist with monthly inventory counts and cost control initiatives Support employee coaching, evaluations, and performance development Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready restaurant at all times What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has at least two years of restaurant management experience Leads by example and earns the respect of their team Has a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service Stays calm, organized, and decisive in a fast-paced environment Takes ownership and follows through without constant supervision Communicates professionally with employees, guests, and vendors Coaches others with accountability, consistency, and respect Maintains high standards while building a positive team culture Thrives in a high-volume restaurant environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with restaurant scheduling and labor management Knowledge of inventory control and ordering Cash handling and daily deposit experience Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Experience developing and coaching restaurant employees Schedule Full-time (30-40 hours per week) Evening, weekend, and holiday availability as business needs require Schedule established in partnership with the General Manager Ready to Join Our Team?
