4 Glendale, AZ Job Details Part-time 17 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Description Opportunity for students to learn the business of ARAMARK Higher Education by assisting the location leadership team with daily operations. Student Managers may be involved in the development, production, and implementation of tactical initiatives aimed at increasing customer retention, improving image and maintain accurate financials for Higher Education. Emphasis on management skills. The position will follow all Aramark standards, HACCP guidelines, sanitation and safety standards and regulatory agency requirements. Job Responsibilities Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment Take on a supervisory role, running events (catering) & opening/closing a location. Participate for recruiting student employees, interviewing and hiring. Participate for scheduling student employees with guidance from manager Check all students in at the beginning and out at the end of the shift. Be sure they are in complete uniform. Make sure all positions are covered; locate a suitable substitute if required. Ensure that students complete all assigned duties within their shift duration time. Report effectively back to direct supervisor regarding any employee or operational issues/comments that arise during a scheduled shift. Follow up with students regarding performance issues, involving manager as needed Record any absences, tardiness, and deviations from the University and departmental policies and work schedules. Know and understand all student employee? policies and discipline procedures. Interact with customers to improve their on-campus experience. Actively train employees and solicit responses for VOC program Qualifications Previous supervisory experience is required and/or have worked with Aramark a minimum of one quarter. Must be available to work 20 hours per week including weekend availability Desire to learn Ability to follow directions Detail oriented Must be able to work well with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Effective communication skills, verbal and written. Currently enrolled as a student at Western Washington University Trainings Student Manager Training Week ? 2 weeks prior to school starting each Fall SM?s will be required to attend weekly meetings with the location manager which will include unit topics and an education component Location manager will train on proper wage and hour for student employees.
Minimum Education Required:
