Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including shift management, staff scheduling, and ensuring smooth service flow. Lead and motivate a team of servers, cooks, and support staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management. Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety by supervising kitchen activities and food handling procedures. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales reconciliation. Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Support food production processes including cooking, food safety management, and catering or banquet setups when needed. Conduct staff interviews, assist with hiring decisions, and participate in ongoing training & development initiatives. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Uphold compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all restaurant areas. Qualifications Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations applicable to restaurants. Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks including interviewing, training & development, and staff supervision. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with basic math skills for budgeting and P&L analysis. Experience with casual dining or fine dining establishments; catering or banquet experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of customer service while managing shift operations efficiently. Pay:
$46,847.82 - $52,500.00 per year
