Creative Bar Manager SumoMaya | Scottsdale, ArizonaRelocation Assistance Available for Qualified Candidates SumoMaya is seeking an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to lead one of Scottsdale's most dynamic beverage programs. We are looking for a creative hospitality professional with a strong background in craft cocktails, beverage innovation, and team leadership. This is not a position for someone who wants to manage from an office. We are seeking a leader who thrives behind the bar, mentors bartenders, creates memorable guest experiences, and is passionate about developing world-class beverage programs. Relocation assistance is available for exceptional candidates from outside the Phoenix/Scottsdale market, including Las Vegas, Southern California. About SumoMaya SumoMaya is an award-winning, high-volume Latin-Asian restaurant known for its energetic atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and innovative food and beverage offerings. Our beverage program features premium tequila, mezcal, Japanese whisky, sake, craft cocktails, wine, beer, and seasonal specialty creations. Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and develop a team of bartenders and bar staff Create seasonal cocktail menus and signature beverage offerings Develop innovative cocktail presentations and guest experiences Manage beverage cost, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships Train staff on spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and service standards Maintain recipe consistency and quality standards Analyze sales trends and identify growth opportunities Work service shifts and lead by example during peak periods Collaborate with culinary leadership on pairings, promotions, and menu development Drive beverage sales while maintaining profitability Qualifications Minimum 3 years of bar management experience Strong craft cocktail and mixology background Experience in upscale casual, fine dining, resort, or high-volume hospitality environments Deep knowledge of spirits, tequila, mezcal, whiskey, wine, beer, and current beverage trends Proven leadership and team development experience Strong organizational and cost-control skills Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Experience Craft cocktail bars Luxury hotels and resorts Fine dining restaurants Beverage program development Menu engineering and cocktail costing Agave spirits, sake, and Japanese whisky programs Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Relocation assistance for qualified candidates Creative freedom to help shape and grow the beverage program Career advancement opportunities within a growing hospitality organization Work alongside a passionate leadership team committed to excellence If you are a hospitality-driven leader who loves creating exceptional cocktails, mentoring talented bartenders, and building a beverage program that stands out in a competitive market, we encourage you to apply.
