Job Description

This position leads and supports daily food service operations, driving excellence in customer service, food quality, team development, and client satisfaction. The role is responsible for overseeing operations, coaching and developing staff, managing costs, and creating a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience. You will report to the District Manager.
You Will:
Lead and oversee daily operations of the Food Service Department, including direct client interaction and overall account performance. Manage, hire, train, and develop managers and staff; set expectations, evaluate performance, and resolve issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with district leadership, including administrative staff and Board of Trustees. Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring targets are met for labor, food costs, and overall financial performance. Ensure standards in food quality, safety, sanitation, customer service, and operational efficiency, while driving program growth and participation.
You Have:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training required; bachelor's degree in food service management, nutrition, culinary arts, business, or related field preferred. 5+ years of food service and fresh food production experience, including 2-3 years as a Food Service Director. Experience managing food cost controls, P&L accountability, production, sanitation and catering operations. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, POS systems, and online reporting platforms. Valid driver's license with the ability to pass an MVR audit, nationwide criminal background check, and fingerprint analysis.
