Already receiving rave reviews, this is a great time to join the F & B team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional guest service skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team. This position will also have a strong wine and beverage knowledge and be able to assist with wine sales on the floor. The Restaurant Manager will be primarily evening shifts and will report directly to the Director of F&B.. This is an exciting and fun opportunity. Responsible for the Restaurant and Bar operations, this position oversees and manages the day-to-day business with the goal to achieve customer satisfaction, quality of food and service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Very hands on role with both staff and guests and a very strong floor presence with the understanding that administration duties are to be performed only when the restaurant volume dictates. Responsible for payroll and ensuring staffing levels are within budget and adjusting as needed due to the fluctuations in business volume. Flexible and willing to assist any other food and beverage operations including the event spaces, Chaise Lounge at the pool and Terrace Bar. Possess strong knowledge of the principles and practices within the food & beverage/hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for management of people, difficult situations and complex problems. Be passionate about food, service and the quality of the dining experience and fairness of price. Be visible during key hours of operations in the Restaurant and available to both guests and staff. Implement a local and repeat guest recognition program. Resolve customer complaints, as appropriate, to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality. Manage the day-to-day human resource functions within the department. Assist with recruitment and development of employees; hire, train, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews, resolve conflict through fair treatment and discipline. Manage the creative process in the operations to develop unique solutions and be ahead of trends. Treats all team members fairly and with respect for both back and front of house. Handles staff concerns in a timely manner and follows-up with any progress, including scheduling, side work, equipment issues and service performance. To be fully aware of and in support of the division's annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts and objectives to meet/exceed management expectations. Build a collaborative relationship with the back of the house in order to address any issues that arise in a supportive and effective manner. Implement and manage all Indian Springs F&B standards to ensure compliance with the SOPs; to include safety and sanitary regulation, all federal, state and local regulations.
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
A four-year college degree or interaction education/experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of food ingredients, cocktails and wines.
EXPERIENCE
Two to four years of employment in a related position with a similar hotel or restaurant operation.
SCHEDULE
This position is expected to work 50 hours per week with strong floor presence during key dining hours and will be primarily focused on dinner service and performing opening and closing restaurant responsibilities. Position requires working weekends and holidays.
