$20.75/hour The Ziegenfelder Company is a frozen novelty manufacturer that focuses on producing the highest quality frozen ice novelties, commonly referred to as twin pops. We are the largest manufacturer of twin pops in the country with production facilities in Wheeling, WV; Chino, CA; Denver, CO; and Lockhart, TX. What You Will Be Doing- Supervising production teams in the absence of the Team Leader to ensure safe and efficient operation of production lines
- Leading and driving a team in a manner consistent with Ziegenfelder Values
- Supporting Safety, Quality, and the Operation Teams to produce and package quality Ziegenfelder treats
- Ensuring that environmental and safety expectations are followed during the shift
- Verifying production paperwork to confirm completion and accuracy
- Undertaking proper corrective/preventative actions when there is a safety, quality, or defective product event
- Functioning as an Operator on days the Team Leader is present
- Completing the production dashboard in the absence of the Team Leader
- Following all GMP and SQF procedures and practices
- Assisting in the training of new personnel
- Ensuring quality standards of products are met
- Assisting Maintenance to ensure machines are in proper operational condition What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in a management or leadership role, preferably in the food manufacturing environment
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Ability to motivate and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical or operational background is a plus Physical Abilities
- Standing up to 8 hours per day
- Bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping actions
- Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment
- May need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly
- May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift Working Conditions
- May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment Schedule
- 40 hours per week with set days off (Dayshift Shift - 6am-2pm) Benefits
