Job Description

The Beverage Operations Shift Manager is responsible for all beverage production and service during their shift; train and supervise subordinates and assure that the wants and needs of guests are consistently exceeded. In addition, the Beverage Operations Shift Manager ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through effective training of staff, commitment to the "Sky River Spirit", and a hands-on, lead by example management style. Maintains beverage inventory and supplies in accordance with business demands. Monitors regularly scheduled cleanings while ensuring prompt, efficient and friendly quality service and preparation of food and beverage items to all customers. Complies with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls, and any and all local, state and federal rules and regulations. Requires that payment, and/or comp authorization is received upon service of all food and beverage items provided and is responsible for assisting food and beverage staff in the proper balancing of the cash register. Trains Beverage staff as appropriate. Monitors par levels and daily inventory of supplies. Ensures prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service and preparation of food and beverage items to any and all customers. Accepts payment and/or comp authorization upon service of beverages prepared and/or served. Oversees the balancing of the cash registers at the end of shift. Participates in weekly inventory of food and beverage supplies. Participates in developing specials. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Assists Beverage Operations Manager with weekly and monthly orders. Promotes positive public and employee relations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be a minimum of 21 years old. Associate degree in Culinary Arts or Industry Equivalent; or equivalent related experience 5 years of in food and beverage management, with 3 years in a supervisory capacity in a high-volume beverage gaming operation that includes Banquets, Entertainment multiple bars and restaurants with a minimum of 2000 slots. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong POS operational and programming experience. Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations. Proficient in operational financial management accountability and budgeting. Knowledge of craft beers in the San Francisco and Sacramento preferred. Extensive knowledge of global whiskeys and bourbon preferred. Strong knowledge of mixology and ability to craft signature cocktails preferred. Previous experience in pairing, wine, beer, whiskey, and bourbons with food preferred.
