We re seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to take the helm at a well-established, high-volume waterfront restaurant in Fort Bragg s historic Noyo Fishing Village. This is an incredible opportunity to lead a beloved coastal dining destination with unparalleled ocean views, a loyal customer base, and an outstanding reputation for fresh seafood and premium cuisine. The restaurant General Manager will manage and oversee all department heads, including Head Chef, Bar Manager, Front-of-House / Floor Manager, Receiving Manager, and others. Competitive Compensation Salary of $80,000 - $120,000 plus performance-based bonuses, paid time off, and dining discounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and coordinate daily operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent quality across a 300+ seat restaurant. Lead, mentor, and develop 40 - 45 FTE staff, fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment. Drive sales and profitability while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost controls. Implement innovative marketing and event strategies to attract locals and tourists. Manage restaurant technology systems including POS, reservations, and online ordering platforms. Adapt operations for seasonal fluctuations in tourist and local traffic. Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu design, planning, costing, and analysis, including updates, specials, and seasonal promotions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations. Foster relationships with vendors and suppliers to maintain top-quality ingredients and service.
WHAT WE RE LOOKING FOR
Proven leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant (5+ years verifiable restaurant management experience required, GM or AGM experience required, BOH and FOH experience required, Two or Four year college degree in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or similar preferred but not required). Strong business acumen with a track record of increasing revenue and profitability. Menu planning and menu analysis experience required. Passion for hospitality, food, and providing outstanding guest experiences. Hands-on leadership style with a focus on training, mentoring, and team development. Experience with restaurant financials, budgeting, and inventory control. Familiarity with restaurant technology including POS systems, scheduling software, and online platforms. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Knowledge of seafood, coastal cuisine, or fine dining (preferred but not required).
