We are seeking a hands-on, professional leader who understands the unique culture of a family-owned restaurant and takes pride in creating an exceptional guest experience. This is an opportunity for an experienced restaurant professional who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and wants to make a meaningful impact—not simply manage from behind a desk. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a restaurant team Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including guest service, food quality, staffing, and daily operations Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and a commitment to hospitality Must be comfortable working hands-on alongside the team Working knowledge of current California employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements, meal and rest breaks, scheduling, employee leave, and workplace compliance. Experience in a family-owned, independent, or locally operated restaurant is strongly preferred Corporate restaurant management experience will not be considered Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient service Lead and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and customer service Train, coach, and hold employees accountable to company standards Assist with hiring, scheduling, and staff development Monitor labor, inventory, and operating costs Address guest concerns professionally and ensure a positive dining experience Enforce restaurant policies, procedures, and safety standards Work closely with the owners and management team to improve operations Lead by example and foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented workplace Be present and actively involved during busy service periods The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a seasoned restaurant professional , not a corporate manager looking for their next position.
