About the Role BT Construction Group LLC is seeking an experienced California Class B General Building Contractor to join our team as a full-time Construction Manager and Responsible Managing Employee (RME). This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing residential construction operations, supervising subcontractors and field activities, and serving as the company's qualifying individual in accordance with California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) requirements. The selected candidate will play an important role in establishing the company's construction operations, quality standards, subcontractor relationships, and project-management procedures. Regular construction operations are expected to begin in April 2027. BT Construction Group LLC is actively recruiting, and the selected candidate may begin paid pre-opening employment earlier to assist with CSLB licensing, construction planning, and operational preparations. The pre-opening schedule, responsibilities, and compensation will be mutually agreed upon before employment begins. The position is based in Irvine, California, with regular travel to construction sites throughout Orange County and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Serve as the company's designated Responsible Managing Employee (RME), subject to CSLB approval, and exercise the supervision and control required by California law. Oversee day-to-day residential remodeling and construction operations from planning through project completion. Supervise subcontractors, vendors, construction crews, and on-site activities. Manage project schedules, budgets, material procurement, and resource allocation. Review construction plans, specifications, estimates, and scopes of work. Conduct regular job-site inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, safety, and quality. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, permit requirements, inspections, and safety regulations. Coordinate with property owners, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders. Establish and maintain construction procedures, quality-control standards, and project documentation. Support estimating, project scheduling, subcontractor selection, and cost-control activities. Assist with pre-opening preparations and the company's CSLB licensing process. Support the company's future expansion into larger remodeling projects, additions, ADUs, and residential construction. Qualifications Current California Class B General Building Contractor qualification in good standing, or qualifying experience and credentials acceptable to CSLB. Eligibility to serve as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) for BT Construction Group LLC. Significant experience in residential general contracting, remodeling, renovations, or construction management. Strong knowledge of California building codes, construction practices, permits, inspections, and safety requirements. Proven experience managing subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, project schedules, and budgets. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, estimates, and scopes of work. Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and client communication skills. Familiarity with construction-management software, estimating tools, and project documentation. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed. Ability to work full-time in a hands-on construction management role in Orange County. Willingness to assist with pre-opening construction planning and licensing preparation when employment begins.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:

$90,000-$130,000 per year, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, and the scope of responsibilities.
