Overseeing all aspects of kitchen sanitation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming space. Washing dishes, floor, walls, bathrooms, any and everything it takes, getting your hands dirty. WE pride ourselves in being a very organized and clean place that loves our community. It's a family environment, family business. Your leadership will drive the implementation of effective cleaning protocols and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness across all kitchen areas. I am open to giving you the tools to hire your 'cleaning team' if another person or 2 is eventually needed on your days off. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence food safety practices and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning and sanitization procedures tailored to kitchen environments. Supervise janitorial and custodial staff, providing training on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hygiene standards. Oversee routine cleaning schedules for all kitchen surfaces, appliances, floors, and storage areas to ensure consistent cleanliness. Manage laundry operations related to kitchen linens, uniforms, and other washable items, ensuring timely processing and sanitation. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health regulations. Coordinate with management teams to schedule deep-cleaning projects without disrupting daily operations. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, staff training sessions, and compliance documentation. Experience Proven supervising experience in commercial cleaning or custodial management within hospitality or hotel settings. Extensive kitchen experience with a strong understanding of sanitation standards specific to food service environments. Background in housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping operations is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members effectively. Familiarity with laundry processes related to hospitality or restaurant industries is preferred. Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to kitchen sanitation practices.
