Full-Time (Evenings, Weekends & Holidays Required) Position Summary Our client, a High-end Japanese restaurant is looking for a General Manager who leads all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest experience, team leadership, financial performance, and daily operations. This role is responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards while developing a high-performing team in a luxury Japanese dining environment. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Manage opening/closing procedures and daily service execution. Monitor labor costs, food costs (COGS), and overall financial performance. Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with food safety and California labor regulations. Team Leadership Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant staff. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality. Partner with HR on hiring, employee relations, and compliance. Guest Experience Build relationships with guests and ensure outstanding service. Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly. Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements. Qualifications Required 5+ years of hospitality management experience. 2+ years as a General Manager in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or upscale restaurant concepts. Strong P&L management and labor cost control experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of POS, scheduling, and reservation systems. Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Experience with Japanese cuisine or luxury hospitality. Japanese-English bilingual. California Food Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent). Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
