  • Full-time We are seeking a hands-on, self-motivated General Manager to lead our Videre Rooftop Restaurant and Bar located at the Kimpton Hotel Wilshire.
This role oversees daily operations, guest experience, team leadership, financial performance, and event execution in an upscale casual, hotel-based environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily restaurant, bar, rooftop, and event operations, ensuring a high standard of service and guest experience Manage, coach, schedule, and hold team members accountable to company standards and performance expectations Drive sales, profitability, and operational execution through strong floor leadership, cost control, labor management, inventory oversight, and P&L management Partner with culinary, bar, hotel, marketing, PR, and events teams to support service execution, promotions, group dining, private events, and buyouts Oversee payroll support, tip management, cash handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and operational controls Ensure and enforce compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, cash handling, and workplace standards Resolve guest and employee concerns professionally and identify opportunities to improve service, training, and business performance Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership Qualifications Minimum 3 years of prior General Manager experience and 5 years of restaurant experience required Strong food, wine, liquor, beer, and cocktail knowledge Experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, rooftop, or upscale casual environment preferred Experience with private events, group dining, hotel events, or buyouts strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and guest service skills Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L, labor, cost control, and inventory Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate required; ServSafe Manager Certification preferred Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain on the floor for extended periods during service Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, or pull items as needed in a restaurant environment Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement between dining, bar, patio, kitchen, event, and service areas Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role Benefits Medical insurance Paid time off and job-protected uncompensated time off Paid training
