Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cafe Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our bustling cafe. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of food service, staff management, inventory control, and customer satisfaction. As the driving force behind a dynamic team, you will ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service that delights every guest. Duties Lead and supervise cafe staff, including baristas, cooks, and servers, fostering a positive team environment through effective training and development. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations. Manage daily shift operations, including scheduling, task delegation, and ensuring timely service in a quick service & fast food restaurant setting. Control inventory levels for food supplies, beverages, and other essentials using systems like Toast POS to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems while maintaining strict cash handling procedures. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen and dining areas. Support customer service excellence by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally while promoting a welcoming atmosphere. Skills Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management within casual dining or quick service environments. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with culinary experience preferred. Skilled in POS systems such as Toast POS for sales processing and inventory tracking. Excellent leadership abilities with supervisory experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. Effective team management skills including interviewing, training & development, and performance coaching. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures. Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to support operational goals.
