Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dining Room Manager to lead our restaurant's front-of-house operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this vital role, you will oversee daily dining service, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and manage a dynamic team of hospitality professionals. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning. Responsibilities Supervise all aspects of dining room operations, including guest service, staff scheduling, and cleanliness standards. Train and mentor staff on food handling, customer service, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and safety protocols to ensure consistent quality. Oversee food preparation coordination with kitchen staff to maintain high standards of presentation and timely service. Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and monitoring food safety practices to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform shift management duties, and analyze profit and loss reports to optimize restaurant performance. Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training to build a strong hospitality team. Ensure adherence to all food safety standards, including proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership in managing hospitality teams, and supporting staff development initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in food restaurant management with a strong background in high volume restaurant and bar operations. Demonstrated supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting; previous assistant manager experience is highly valued. Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills. Strong understanding of food safety management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and handle customer concerns professionally. Experience with fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality. Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is desirable but not mandatory; a passion for culinary excellence is essential.
