This is a great opportunity for those who love working with people, enjoy creating warm welcoming spaces for families, and thieves in an environment where no two days are the same. The General Manager will work closely with the owner to help manage the cafe, oversee staff and daily operations, maintain the bookstore and play space, and ensure that every customer has a positive experience. We're looking for someone who is a leader, problem solver, and team player.

Key responsibilities:

Help develop and refine cafe menus, including food and beverages. Oversee daily business activities to ensure efficiency. Manage cafe inventory, ordering, and relationships with vendors. Maintain appropriate food safety and sanitation standards. Work alongside cafe staff during busy periods and step in whenever necessary. Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and training employees. Create and maintain staff schedules. Ensure the playcafe and bookstore are clean and organized for customers. Communicate regularly with the owner regarding staffing, operations, customer feedback, and business needs. Handle customer questions, feedback, and concerns. Helping coordinating and book events and parties Foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in management, hospitality, cafe operations, retail, or related fields. Experience with food and cafe service. Must be able to stand, squat, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. Must pass a background check. Reliable transportation. Food handler certified.
