The Dining Room Manager position is one of the most important roles at Chateau Lake San Marcos. Not only are you the first point of contact when residents come in to dine, you have a variety of daily responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to speak and write English. Ability to communicate effectively to address needs or requests from residents or other employees. 2. Regularly required to stand or walk, and must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds. 3. Must be familiar with Chateau policies and procedures. Must perform all duties in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
1. Directly supervises 15 - 20 employees in the Dining Room 2. Responsibilities include training employees in accordance with the current policies of the community, assigning and directing all work, disciplining employees and preparing the servers weekly schedules. 3. Ensures that the Dining Service Staff meets the community standards and expectations of residents and address resident complaints in the Dining Room. 4. Review Dining reservations and assist in arranging parties. 5. Responsible for monthly meal credit reports. Resolves resident questions about their meal credits or other charges related to the Dining Room. 6. Inspect Dining Room and related areas for neatness, cleanliness, and completeness. 7. Prepare inventory monthly for all serviceware. 8. Order and distribute wine to the residents, keeping track of the residents wine purchases. 9. Responsible for server's attendance records and payroll by completing Timecard Report. 10. Conduct Server/Busser staff and safety meetings monthly. 11. Comply with all safety rules and regulations and with Chateau Lake San Marcos policies and procedures. •This position requires a Criminal Background Check through Live Scan.
