This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a hospitality team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards, and foster a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality service, managing restaurant functions, and supporting the overall success of the establishment. This paid position is ideal for someone passionate about food, hospitality, and team management, with a focus on Japanese cuisine and culture. Responsibilities Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and customer service excellence Supervise food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to ensure consistency and quality standards are met Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation Train and develop team members in food safety protocols, customer service techniques, and operational procedures Control inventory levels through accurate stock management, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety Support kitchen management by supervising food production, catering activities, banquets, and special events to uphold quality standards Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability Lead staff recruitment efforts through interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members Foster a positive team environment by providing managerial communication, guidance, and motivation Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a focus on Japanese cuisine preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety management practices Skilled in operating POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS with cash handling expertise Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and profit/loss analysis effectively Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in hospitality or restaurant settings Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences Ability to train staff on food safety standards, culinary techniques, and operational procedures Effective communication skills in both English and Japanese are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele Basic math skills for cash handling, order processing, and financial reporting Experience with shift management, kitchen operations, catering events, and managing hospitality teams Join us as an Assistant Manager
