Job Description

The GOAT is looking for a General Manager to help build and lead one of Sonoma County's most exciting new hospitality and entertainment concepts. Located in downtown Santa Rosa, The GOAT is being built as a high-energy destination combining: Sports bar atmosphere Elevated food and beverage Live music and DJs Nightlife and entertainment Big event energy Community culture This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-it role. We are looking for someone who wants to come on early, help shape the operation, build the team, create systems, and establish the culture from the ground up. The right person understands hospitality at a high level but also thrives in fast-paced entertainment environments. You should be equally comfortable leading a dinner rush, managing late-night operations, coordinating entertainment, developing staff, and helping create a venue people talk about. We are not looking for a corporate "clipboard manager." We are looking for a leader with presence, vision, hustle, and an ownership mentality.
Responsibilities Include:
Hiring and building a large front and back of house team Creating systems, structure, and accountability Managing restaurant, bar, nightlife, and event operations Coordinating with DJs, bands, promoters, and entertainment talent Staff development, scheduling, labor management, and inventory controls Driving guest experience and venue culture Assisting ownership with launch strategy, branding, and long-term growth Helping create social media moments and overall venue energy
Ideal Qualifications:
5+ years of hospitality leadership experience Strong restaurant and bar management background Experience with nightlife, live music, or entertainment venues strongly preferred Proven ability to lead large teams in high-volume environments Strong leadership presence and communication skills Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on work ethic Comfortable working nights, weekends, and events Passion for sports, music, hospitality, and guest experience Social media/content creation experience is a plus
Compensation:
$88,000-$110,000+ depending on experience Benefits package Performance incentives and growth opportunities Relocation assistance considered for the right candidate Potential for long-term leadership growth within the company We are casting a wide net for this role and are open to candidates outside the area.
